| Volume 1– Issue 1 Page 9 Welcome, Bishop Richard Stephan Seminack—John Steciw On Sunday, July 20, 2003, a banquet was held at the St. Nicholas Cathedral school auditorium in honor and celebration of the recent installa-tion of our new bishop the Most Reverend Richard Stephan Seminack. Part of his extensive and impressive resume’ includes the fact that he is also a veteran. Bishop Seminack was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Chaplain Corps. Members from our Post 32 attended the ban-quet. Walter Chyterbok gave a very fine speech, which was broken up several times with audience applause. After Walter’s speech , our post members ap-proached the main table where the Bishop was seated, saluted him in unison and presented him with our post cap and shield. Bishop Seminack responded by returning our salute and graciously accepting the cap, shield and membership in our Ukrainian American Veter-ans Post 32. All of the members, along with their respective families extend a sincere and celebratory WELCOME TO BISHOP RICHARD STEPHAN SEMINACK. We welcome you to our city, our neighbor-hood, our community and our post. Here’s wishing for a long and enduring rela-tionship and friendship for us all. All of us regard it both an honor and a privilege to have you within our ranks. Post 32 wants to thank you for your gracious acceptance of us and our post invitation. From the members and families of the Ukrainian American Veterans General John B. Turchin Post 32 Chicago.
