All information acquired through donations is kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties except as may be required by law. If you communicate with the UAV via e-mail, your e-mail address and any information you provide voluntarily may be collected and retained as part of our communications record.

Personal information that can identify you, such as name and address, is collected only when voluntarily offered and solely for purposes that are clearly identified.

You may be requested to provide demographic and profile data as part of the registration project for the Library of Congress project. Your compliance with this type of request is strictly voluntarily.

The UAV has technological and operational security functions in place to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuses, alteration or destruction. Only authorized individuals have access to the data you provide and that access is limited by need.

The UAV web site is hosted by Google and the UAV subscribes to Google's Adsense service which places advertisements on our web pages. Information regarding the Google and Adsense privacy policies is available at
