UAV Summer Uniform

The UAV CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS (rev. 10/01, Kerhonkson, NY) states: Section 5

a) Veteran cap, white shirt with navy blue tie, gray trousers/skirts, navy blue blazer with brass buttons and UAV emblem on the lapel pocket, is the official uniform of the Ukrainian American Veterans.

b) The option of wearing an embroidered shirt is at the discretion of the Post for Post activities.

c) The option of a hot weather uniform consisting of veterans cap, short sleeved white shirt with the American flag patch on the left shoulder and the UAV Crest on the right shoulder, and gray trousers/skirts is at the discretion of the Post for Post activities.

Veteran cap, navy blue tie and UAV emblem to be purchased from Quartermaster only, to ensure uniformity of color and look.

Therefore, please advise your members of this availability and respond as soon as possible to me via email or phone how many you would need for your post. Our North Port, FL Post already has these patches and crests on their shirts and having observed them first hand, they look very good. The cost for the crest and US patch is a very low three (3) dollars per set.

When sewing them on they should both be approximately 4 fingers from top of the shoulder with the US patch on the LEFT SHOULDER and the UAV crest on the RIGHT SHOULDER.

Summer uniforms can be worn starting Memorial Day weekend until the end of summer or as the weather in your area dictates.

If you have any questions, please forward them to me and I will insure that the Q-Master gets your message. ALL POSTS should adhere to this procedure. Please let me know as soon as possible so that all Posts have these patches and crests before Memorial Day.
