2026 Annual Convention

UAV Post 42 (Lehigh Valley) will host the 79th annual convention Thursday, 24 September through Saturday, 26 September 2026. All events will be held at the historic Americus Hotel overlooking Allentown, PA.

Post 42 Commander’s Welcome

On behalf of Post 42 and our Convention Committee, it is my great honor to welcome you to the 79^th Annual Ukrainian American Veterans National Convention, held this year in the vibrant city of Allentown, Pennsylvania. We are delighted to gather with friends, comrades, and supporters from across the country to celebrate our shared heritage, honor our service, and strengthen the bonds that unite our community.

This year’s convention holds special meaning as we commemorate the 250^th Anniversary of the United States and the 20th Anniversary of the founding of Post 42 in the Lehigh Valley, PA. As we reflect on the history and achievements of our organization, let us also look to the future with renewed commitment to our mission of supporting veterans, preserving Ukrainian American traditions, and fostering fellowship among all members.

We hope you enjoy the camaraderie, informative sessions, and memorable events planned throughout the convention.

Registration Fee

Please note that all convention attendees must pay a $10 registration fee. In addition, each post must pay $20. These fees help offset the cost of the meetings.

The registration fee must be paid when you check in at the convention registration desk.

Please pay by check or cash only. We cannot accept credit card payments at the convention.

The UAV has negotiated a special rate of $109 per night (does not include breakfast). Please call and use rate code “UKRA” to get the special group rate. Reserve rooms before Sunday, 9 August 2026 to get the special rate.

Parking: Valet parking is available for $35 per night; no on-site self-parking, but public parking is available nearby.

Amenities: Features a restaurant and bar, 24-hour fitness center, free wi-fi, and it is pet-friendly ($75 fee).

Deadlines

Lodging. Reserve rooms before Sunday, 9 August 2026.

Advertising. All advertising and booster orders must be received before Tuesday, 1 September 20265.

Banquet. The banquet reservation deadline is Thursday, 20 August 2026.

Directions to Allentown, PA

The Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) is 5 miles away. Other nearby airports include Philadelphia (PHL) (70 miles) and LaGuardia (LGA) (109 miles).

Dress Code

The dress code for all convention meetings is the UAV class “A” uniform.  The official UAV class “A” uniform consists of

• UAV veteran cap
• white shirt with UAV navy blue necktie
• grey trousers/skirt
• solid black socks and black footwear
• navy blue blazer with brass buttons and UAV emblem on the lapel pocket

Please visit the UAV Quartermaster Store to purchase any required uniform items. Items like veteran caps have a long lead time, so please place your orders at least 60 days before the convention.

Advertisements

Journal advertisements range from $500 for a full-page color ad to $25 for a business-card ad. Boosters cost $10 per name. UAV members will receive convention advertising information in the June 2026 issue of the UAV Tribune.

Deadline: The deadline to place an ad in the convention journal is Tuesday, 1 September 2026.

Changes to the UAV Constitution and Bylaws

Proposed changes to the UAV Constitution and Bylaws should be submitted to the National Judge Advocate at least 60 days prior to the upcoming Annual Convention. The National Judge Advocate presents the proposals to the Constitution and By-Laws Committee of the National Convention for discussion, and if merited, presents them to the delegates of the Convention for a vote. Amendments submitted by the Constitution and By-Laws Committee require a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the delegates present for adoption. If a change is presented at the Convention, then it must be approved unanimously by the registered delegates present at the convention for adoption.
