2020 Annual Convention
The 73rd UAV Annual Convention, originally scheduled for October at Quantico, has been rescheduled to 6 and 7 November 2020. The convention will now be a “virtual” convention held online via Zoom.
Virtual Convention
We will conduct a virtual convention 6 and 7 November 2020. Both major American political parties have shown that this is possible. It promises to be a novel and interesting approach for the UAV.
The UAV National Executive Board will meet on Thursday, 5 November. Delegates, UAV members and guests will meet to attend the Annual Convention on Friday and Saturday, 6 and 7 November 2020.
The 2020 convention will still have many recognizable elements.
- Resolutions
- Bylaws and Constitution changes
- Financial and Activity reports
- Guest speakers
- Convention Journal
- Q & A session (new this year!)
The convention will be hosted on Zoom in a webinar format. You will be able to participate using your computer, tablet or telephone (audio only if participating via telephone).
Annual Convention Registration
All UAV board members, delegates and post commanders must register in order to vote. You will not be able to participate unless you register.
Being virtual, our Zoom webinar can accommodate 500 participants. This will allow access to many who might otherwise not attend. UAV members who are delegates, as well as non-voting members, members-at-large (MAL), members of the UAV Ladies Auxiliary and guests, are all welcome and encouraged to register and attend the virtual convention. An open-format Q&A session is scheduled for Saturday, and all members and guests are invited to participate. All registrations for the Annual Convention will be done online this year through the UAV website. The registration fee is $10, and it can be paid through our secure online shopping cart in the UAV Quartermaster store. You may pay by PayPal or credit card only.
You will receive the link to the Zoom webinar via email after you register and pay your registration fee.
IMPORTANT: For security reasons, we ask that you do not share this link with anyone.
We will have an extra edition of the UAV Tribune which will give detailed information and instructions for participation in the Annual Convention.
Registration fee must be paid when you register to attend the convention. Registration fees may be paid online by only credit card or PayPal. Cash and check payments will not be accepted.
Reservations
If you have already made a hotel reservation at Quantico, we urge you to immediately contact the hotel directly to cancel your reservation. The UAV cannot be responsible for any cancellation fees.
