Programs and Services

Ukrainian American Veterans (UAV) posts provide numerous programs and services to their communities.

  • contribute thousands of volunteer hours to their communities
  • participate in local and National veterans activities
  • provide education scholarships to undergraduate students
  • provide financial assistance for medical and social needs to UAV members
  • conduct information programs supporting the contributions of veterans of Ukrainian descent in defense of freedom worldwide

Scholarship Fund  – Annual scholarships are granted based on the Scholarship Committee’s review of written essays by applicants.

Welfare Fund –  The National Welfare Officer is responsible for the administration and supervision of the welfare fund. The Welfare Officer reviews all claims submitted by Post Commanders and takes the necessary steps as specified in the Constitution and Bylaws of the National Welfare Fund.

The National Office generally participates in events of National significance and provides support for Posts during local events.
