Leadership

The Ukrainian American Veterans (UAV) leadership is organized hierarchically with a national organization, state departments and local posts.

UAV National Executive Board

A National Executive Board, led by the National Commander, provides leadership of the Ukrainian American Veterans (UAV) at the National level.

UAV Posts and State Departments

The UAV is organized locally in posts. Each post elects a commander to lead that post.  If you are interested in joining a post please contact the appropriate post commander. You can find contact information on the Post Commanders page.

The posts within any state may form a UAV State Department. We currently have three State Departments in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. You can find contact information on the Post Commanders page.

Membership

Please check membership eligibility requirements prior to submitting a membership application.

If there are no posts close to where you live, you may still join as a Member at Large. Please contact the National Vice-Commander at uavvicecommander@gmail.com.

Charter a New Post

If a group of Ukrainian American veterans wishes to organize a new post, please forward the request to the National Adjutant at horbenko@comcast.net for consideration by the National Executive Board. For requirements please consult the UAV Constitution and Bylaws.

UAV Ladies Auxiliary

The UAV also has a Ladies Auxiliary, composed of veterans’ wives and other supporters. The Auxiliary is also organized in posts, alongside the UAV posts, and is led by a National President.
