Chris Labiak Receives Ambassador for Peace medal

United States Army veteran Chris Labiak received the “Ambassador for Peace” medal from a representative of the Korean Government for his service in Korea. Chris is the son of Ukrainian American Veterans (UAV) Post 1 member Pete Labiak. Chris had previously been awarded the Bronze Star with “V” for valor. Five veterans, including Chris, received recognition in August.

Have you visited the Ukrainian American Veterans (UAV) website lately? Does anything look different?

If you did visit the site, you probably noticed a big difference. The UAV launched a new website in August, 2019. The UAV webmaster, Joe Nasevich, has been working on a new website design the during the last few weeks, and those efforts came to fruition with the launch of a shiny, new site during the wee hours of Sunday, 18 August 2019. Ukrainian American Veterans hold 71st National Convention

The Ukrainian American Veterans organization concluded its two-day annual National Convention on Saturday, October 6. Forty delegates met to discuss national UAV policies and to elect a new National Executive Board.
