Jerry Kindrachuk resigned earlier this year as the National Finance Officer of the Ukrainian American Veterans after 12 years of service. Jerry was recognized at the UAV’s 73rd annual convention on Saturday, 7 November 2020.
Kindrachuk remains active in the UAV. He is a member of Post 42 in Lehigh Valley, PA, and he attended the 73rd annual convention as a post delegate. He is also the alternate webmaster for the UAV website.
The UAV’s National Judge Advocate, Michael Hrycak, read Kindrachuk’s commendation at the convention.
Commendation for Jerry Kindrachuk
Jerry Kindrachuk served as the Ukrainian American Veterans Finance Officer from 2008 through 2020. In addition to the routine collection of annual dues and payment of UAV expenses, he also filed the annual federal tax returns for the UAV. He was instrumental in reestablishing tax-exempt status for the UAV, a monumental task that took several years to accomplish and which required filing several years of delinquent tax returns.
Kindrachuk earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley College, and a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University. He brought a level of professionalism and organization previously unseen in the UVA. He replaced the old paper record keeping with a modern, computerized accounting system. He was recognized as an expert and professional accountant, and his opinion was respected on the National Executive Board.
Kindrachuk served as interim webmaster for the UAV and recruited a new National Webmaster. While webmaster, he opened a UAV PayPal account to process online payments.
He did all this with a smile and can-do attitude. He will be difficult to replace.
We honor him for his loyalty, fidelity and twelve years of service as part of the National Executive Board.

PNC Ihor Hron has assumed the duties of National Finance Officer. Many of you will recognize Ihor, because he served as National Commander from 2012 to 2016.
Post Commanders should now send annual dues payments to Ihor Hron.
