2021 Soyuzivka Ukrainian Cultural Festival

The annual Ukrainian Cultural Festival at Soyuzivka returns in 2021, and the Ukrainian American Veterans will be there!

UAV Quartermaster, Stephen Kostecki, will have a table at the 2021 festival and will be selling a selection of veteran’s apparel, coins, pins and more. Please stop by and say hello. You can also shop the UAV Quartermaster store online.

UAV National Monument Plaza Completed

UAV National Monument

On Tuesday, 30 March 2021, the UAV National Monument Officer, PNC Matt Koziak, and the UAV National Monument Treasurer, PNC Anna Krawczuk, visited the Ukrainian American Veterans National Monument on the grounds of St. Andrew’s Memorial Church in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. 

The contractor has finished the surrounding plaza, and it looks great.  Just in time for Easter, St. Thomas Sunday, and Memorial Day.  Job well done.

National Cemetery Administration

The National Cemetery Administration (NCA) honors Veterans and their families with final resting places in national shrines and lasting tributes that commemorate their service and sacrifice to our Nation. The NCA offers free burial services to eligible veterans at over 151 national cemeteries nationwide.

Les’ Melnyk, Chief of Public Affairs & Outreach for the National Cemetery Administration (NCA), Dept. of Veterans Affairs, addressed the delegates at the Ukrainian American Veterans 73rd Annual Convention on Friday, 6 November 2020. Melnyk spoke about the history and mission of the National Cemetery Administration, and then he discussed eligibility criteria for veterans and their families.
